DEC: Code of Ethnics
The three meaningful DEC: Code of Ethnics:
- We shall serve as advocates for children with disabilities and their families and for the professionals who serve them by supporting both policy and programmatic decisions that enhance the quality of their lives.
- We shall build relationships with individual children and families while individualizing the curricula and learning environments to facilitate young children's development and learning.
- We shall be responsible for maintaining the appropriate national, state, or other credential or license requirements for the services we provide while maintaining our competence in practice and research by ongoing participation in professional development and education activities.
These code of ethnics are meaningful because it is important to have the credential or license to teach young children. Therefore, the teachers are license to implement research-based techniques, strategies, and methods to use in order to teach young children in the classroom setting. Nevertheless, it is essential to build a strong and open line of communication with the parents and families with the young children because by collaborating they are able to work on skills and concepts that are introduced in the classroom and can be done at home. It is essential to make sure that accommodations and modifications can be made in the classroom to the lessons and activities to meet the needs all of children with and without disabilities.
NAEYC: Code of Ethical Conduct
The three ideas that are meaningful:
- To be familiar with the knowledge based of early childhood care and education and stay informed through continuing education and training.
- To support the right of each child to play and learn in an inclusive environment that meets the needs of children with and without disabilities.
- To ensure that each child's culture, languages, ethnicity, and family structure are recognized and valued in the program.
These three ideas are meaningful to me because it is important to remain current on the issues that address and affect the field of early childhood education. Therefore, if educators remain update they are able to implement the various strategies and techniques to use in an early childhood classroom with young children. Nevertheless, with the multiple diverse learners in the classroom it is essential to create and implement activities and lessons that all the young children can relate to at some point in the learning environment.

Passion Motivation, and Wisdom Quote
Renatta Cooper (said)- "It's not all about you its about what best for the children. A childhood and education leaves them ready for optimal life experiences that will open up the world."
Famous Quotes by Maria Montessori
“Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment."
“The environment must be rich in motives which lend interest to activity and invite the child to conduct his own experiences."
Famous Quotes by Edward Zigler
I have long believed that the development of a child does not begin the day he is born or at the age three but much earlier during the formative years of his parents.
“High hopes made Head Start possible....we need to recapture the hope, to believe once more that it is possible to set the next generation of American children and families on a course toward a better life.”

A Quote Children and Early Childhood that is especially meaningful to me
"Now, today, some children are enrolled in excellent programs. Some children are enrolled in mediocre programs. And some are wasting away their most formative years in bad programs....That's why I'm issuing a challenge to our states: Develop a cutting-edge plan to raise the quality of your early learning programs; show us how you'll work to ensure that children are better prepared for success by the time they enter kindergarten. If you do, we will support you with an Early Learning Challenge Grant that I call on Congress to enact."
- President Barack Obama, speaking to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, March 10, 2009
The quote is meaningful to me because it show that some people in important position believe in Early childhood. It is important for children to have an head start with their education. Yes, teaching your children starts at home but it is important to give children an opportunity to experience learning and developing with their peers in an Early Childhood setting. Therefore, in all early childhood programs it is essential to provide the children with all the concepts and skills they need to prepare them for Kindergarten.

A Story About A Child That Touched My Heart
One thing I do know is that children are one of God's greatest gifts in the world. There are some many different things that children do that touch our heart at home and in the school environment. I am a teacher assistant at a Head Start Center and the classroom consist of fifteen children. This one specific three year-old boy name Davane come to class everyone and tells me how much he miss and love me. When he walks in the classroom everyone he has the same routine, he comes over and say those loving and kind words to me. Therefore, I ask him "Daven, why did you miss me last night?" and he stated "Ms. Curry you were not at home with me and I did not see you.? Then he would say " I miss and I love you Ms. Curry." Therefore,It touched my heart just to know that he thinks about me even when he leaves school in the evening time. Also, because he cares enough to tell me how he feel.
